Black Cat
Black Cat in Watercolour
These paintings are quite simple to do. We had a go at the school where I work. a while back. You need a sheet of watercolour paper, a HB pencil, a couple of brushes and black watercolour paint.
Draw a simple shape of a cat. Fill in the drawing with clean water, but not too much. Paint the cat and use a brush to feather the edges. The paint will bleed slightly anyway if you use watercolour paper. Children really enjoy this activity, and the painting looks really effective.
You can find many simple animal drawings on Google images, so they can use their imagination.Maybe a rabbit, horse or dog etc.

I’ve taken a few painting classes, but wouldn’t consider myself “good” at it. This looks like something I could do though! Thanks for sharing!

That’s such a great creative activity to do, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as watercolour paper

Hi Pip. Your paintings are amazing. so lovely and soft. It makes me want to get the watercolours but alas…my art comes in the form of words. Thank you for sharing. xo

Oh, this is interesting. Kids could do this, but it’s great for adults too I think. Very neat, thanks for sharing.
