Spicy Pasta/Vegetarian
This pasta dish is really simple to make and suitable I feel to eat for lunch or supper. My neighbour showed me how to make it a while back using a jar of sauce (nothing wrong with cheating if it tastes good!). My boys like it lots but they dislike sweetcorn and peas which I leave out, but it tastes far better if you add them.
Ingredients:
250g pasta, standard jar of red lasagne sauce, about 400g, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, pinch of salt, 2 tbls peas, 2 tbls sweetcorn, half tsp chilli powder.
Method:
Cook the pasta until soft then drain. On a medium heat add the pasta back to the saucepan, add the salt, grated cheese, chilli powder, sweetcorn and peas. Mix together continually until the cheese has melted. Add the sauce and keep stirring until warmed through.
I sometimes make this for my boys in the evening for supper, or I’ll take it to work and warm it in the microwave for lunch. It just makes a change from sandwiches.

Is lasagna sauce with or without meat? I figure without since it comes in a jar, but you know us Americans have to do things differently, so I had to ask to be sure! LOL Either way, though, this sounds very hearty and yummy!

It’s without meat, just sauce. It’s simple and cheating but quick. My kind of food
