A Heart Felt Thank You

Along the journey of life you meet people who may have a positive impact on your well-being or a negative one. I have had some pretty negative ones, especially with men-folk, but I wanted to write this short post to say thank you to a man that has been such a positive force in my life for the good and I can’t thank him enough. I’ve been struggling with ill-health for quite a while now, and this person has been there for me to provide comfort and care. Here are the reasons why:

Thank you for calling/texting me every day to see how I am.

Thank you for remembering my birthday, and buying me a present. You never forget what I like, and treat me to something special, (my favourite books and Harry Potter merchandise; a golden snitch necklace, how cool is that!)

Thank you for taking me out on day trips, and looking after me.

Thank you for baking me my favourite cakes. You’re such a good cook!

Thank you making me laugh, which you do all the time!

Thank you for helping me when I’ve been short of cash, and helping me with the garden, and fixing my roof.

Thank you for coming with me to hospital, and holding my hand.

Thank you for taking care of my feelings, and using your calm and placid nature to ease my thoughts.

So, this is for you Shane. The only man I have ever known, that is genuine, truthful and has a heart of gold.

And here we sit watching a brass band in Loughborough in the pouring rain, but happy and laughing. (and a bit geeky!)

I am a mother of two children, and have had many experiences in my life that I have been through and had to overcome. I feel it would be beneficial (at least to me, and perhaps you) to share my experiences. I’d love to hear your comments and suggestions. x

Sometimes when we’re struggling, it’s hard to recognize just how blessed we are! You are, indeed, blessed to have Shane in your life and I’m sure he feels equally blessed to have you in his life! This was wonderful, my friend! It warms my soul when I read heartfelt sentiments! I do hope Shane’s health improves! ~ Mona

Those are the people that make life worthwhile. So glad you have someone like that. Cheers to Shane! On a side note, I hope you’re feeling better!

It can. It’s good to have people around us that genuinely care, rather than what they can get out of it. And I’ve known a few of those people!
