My Art

Art Class/Pipkins

I really enjoyed Art class this evening. Our tutor gave us an introduction concerning composition, and then we chose 3 different pictures and used a piece of paper with a square cut out the centre. We then positioned this over different parts of the photographs we were using and focused on certain sections, rather than the whole.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t any watercolour paper tonight, so we had to make do with cartridge paper. I must say it was very difficult to use as the paint was gliding over the surface which made it near impossible to control. Under these difficult circumstances, I painted my cat, but just centred on her face rather than the whole body, it turned out quite well.

I’ll make sure I take a supply of watercolour paper next week, just in case 🙂
