Billy Joel’s Q&A/First Piano Lessons

Facebook0Tweet0Pin0

I have always enjoyed listening to Billy Joel. He wrote a song which appears on the ‘Innocent Man’ album called ‘This Night’. The basis of the song’s chorus uses the second movement of Beethoven’s Pathetique Sonata.  Beethoven is credited as one of the songs writers on the album. When I first heard the song and realised this piece of information, I became aware of how much of a great musician Billy Joel is. He is a wonderful pianist and a great talker.

I wanted to share this little YouTube video of a question and answer session he did explaining why he learnt to play the piano and the benefits of it as he grew older. I think it’s great!

He should be a comedian like actually. Nobody but nobody interacts with the audience or gives these kind of Q&A/”interviews” and talks like Billy Joel – pure gold – I wish he’d do more but so grateful for these videos. Thank you for sharing.

I’d love to see him live. I’m not sure if he still tours.
