    Hand Stretched Pizza

I was out with a friend yesterday having some lunch. I picked up the menu with a certain amount of trepidation anticipating the pretentious food explanations of which I am not very fond; which you may be already aware of. I tend to do this in restaurants now. I’ll pick up the menu, not for an in-depth food perusal of whats on offer, but a scan for the most cringe worthy food items on the list. If there are too many for me to cope with, I usually stick my fist in my mouth to hide the guffaws of laughter and contemplate running for the hills. The restaurant in question…

An Ode to Painting Walls to the Tune of ‘If You’re Happy and You Know it Clap Your Hands’

Yesterday afternoon and onward throughout the evening I was incredibly agitated and sweating profusely whilst painting the last few walls of my sitting room with white emulsion. It was a horrid experience. I was cursing and getting myself into a right old lather so I was, as I encountered lumps galore and uneven coverage. I decided earlier to write a little ditty about my decorating experience. I hope you like it: Please hum the tune ‘If you’re happy and you know it….’. Before you start to paint take some advice, Intensely listen, read and then please be precise, If you don’t you’ll make a mess, Give yourself alot of stress, Then…

Why Gardening is the Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

I am writing this post this evening in response to a question asked of me a few weeks ago by my good blogging friend, Mona, at http://www.waywardsparkles.com. I wrote a post recently about the condition of ‘Bruxism’, which is an over-the-top grinding of ones teeth predominately during the evening when you are fast asleep in your comfortable bed, dead to the world, and completely unaware of the damage you are doing to your mouth and gums. It has been blamed on stress and anxiety, which is why I get it, amongst other things. Mona, of ‘wayward sparkles’ asked me in her comment under the post in question, of ways I help…

    2 Great Nature Apps

I have a park near to me that I visit once a day with my dog. It is medium sized and contains lots of lovely trees and wildlife. During the time I have lived in the area, which is quite a few years, I have noticed from the middle of May for around 3 weeks, a couple of trees shed this stuff that kind of resembles white candy floss. It’s really lovely to watch as you walk around. The most accurate description of this phenomenon is that it’s basically like long seeds of cotton wool, and as it falls it resembles snow. It’s quite pretty. I’ve always wanted to know…

    Bloggers Comments

Just a short post here but quite important. I have been blogging now for around 18 months and I can honestly say that blogging is a great hobby of mine and I enjoy every minute of it. I know how hard it is to get your content out there and it’s a constant learning process, and sometimes you do need all the help you can get. Gaining more traffic being one of the main issues. If you notice at the bottom of my Intro page there is a widget highlighting the most recent comments given by my readers. Above that, you will notice that I’ve stated that you can leave…

    Party Dress Dilemma

I’m going to a wedding next week. Not for the whole day, but just for the night do! But my word, I’ve been in such a pickle trying to find a dress that fits. I don’t normally wear dresses. so I haven’t got much of a clue on what to buy for different occasions. I put out a message on my personal facebook account the other day asking for help on buying the right colour shoes for a blue dress. I was given lots of advice on the colour that would suit, so that part was quite easy. I also, due to my cleverness on the day of ordering, purchased 2…
