Semi-nude/mixed media

This is my third attempt at this painting. The first two I found very difficult as I was trying to get the proportions right on the body.

I used only limited colours: Ultramarine Blue, Alizarin Crimson and Yellow Ochre for the flesh colour, mixing darker for the shoulder and arm edges. I then used a pale wash of ultramarine blue for the slip across the body; then added more of the same pigment to give some depth. 

This is one of my paintings I will definitely hang on my wall.
