Diary Entry-21/05/2017-Mixed Media Seahorse

I’ve been doing a bit of painting today using some new materials and ideas.

This painting is inspired by a well-known artist who draws in pencil and ink and then suggests scenes within the subject. I wanted to depict the sea and coral within the Seahorse.

It’s definitely out of my comfort zone as it required a bit of precision and accuracy. I usually work looser than this, but I enjoyed trying something a little different. I also used tippex and a white gel pen for the highlights.
