My Shazaming January
I’ve picked up some lovely music with Shazam this month. A few I’ve heard from the credits at the end of films, coffee shops and lunches in bars with friends.
I heard this years ago and it was played on the credits of a film I saw recently. Cat Stevens.

Piano Sonata No 8 in C minor, Op 13, ‘Pathetique’. Yundi
I love love love love this soooo much!! Donovan. If I ever walk down the aisle again, I’ll walk to this. A happy song of love.x
Ok, so I think this guy was a kind of genius as a songwriter and a wonderful singer! I heard this on the radio yesterday and it took me back to being a little girl and watching him on the TV in the 70’s.
Vivaldi: Nulla in Mundo Pax Sincera- (Aria)… Ok, this is one you can imagine frolicking around in fields of poppies in the sunshine. Isn’t it lovely how music can evoke feelings and a vivid imagination. There may even be a handsome swain in the scene!
Young as the morning old as the sea. Passenger. I like this and I don’t quite know why it’s the mellowness of it I feel and the repetitiveness. I know someone that would definitely like this song because of the repetitiveness 😉
Harry Pane. Real Souls. I’ve never heard of this guy before, but when I was out and I heard his guitar I was hooked. It’s got a country sound to it don’t you think?

Libertango. The ultimate romantic prurience. I was having lunch with a friend last week and I was tempted to pop the rose into my mouth from out of the glass vase on the table and tango around the room, unfortunately, I had no willing partner.
And finally the last one. Once upon a dream by Lana Del Ray. This was the theme tune to the film ‘Maleficent’ which I watched with my boy the other day. It was playing during the credits at the end and IÂ think it’s so lovely, and this girl has a gorgeous voice. I’ve shared the link with the lyrics.

There, a sort of a lullaby at the end. Goodnight x
