Normanton Church at Rutland Water/Watercolour

I live in the East Midlands, in England, and there is a lovely area not far from where I live called Rutland Water. It is quite beautiful, with a large lake to walk around, pretty scenery and a cafe. It gets quite packed in the warmer months because it’s such a delightful place to visit. There is a very old church that juts out into the lake which is quite well-known and many photographs over the years have been taken of it.

I painted this picture of Normanton church at Rutland Water this evening in pen & wash, with the addition of simple washes of watercolour.
