Watercolour – Petra

This is another of my pen and wash/watercolour paintings. Ever since I was a child I have had a love of history, old buildings and ruins. There are many places in the world I yearn to visit and this is one of them, Petra. I did a drawing in pen and wash and painted  a simple wash for the stonework. I found the entrance to the building a little difficult with the shadows as I needed to give the building the correct perspective. x
