Budgie in Watercolour
I painted this bird today in watercolour using a very limited palette. The colours were ultramarine blue for the body in different tones. I then mixed together burnt umber with ultramarine blue to make a nice black, and yellow ochre for the beak  mixed with crimson red for the darker tone. White watercolour straight from the tube was applied for the highlights.
